EV Academy Curricula

ESL Classic / Power Speaking Course

The classes have been developed to address student learning needs, especially for those who will be using English in their studies and travels overseas. EV Academy teachers have been given the best preparation available to be on hand when students learn, as well as give efficient correction and guidance.

School materials and class activities adhere to the learner outcomes set by the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), a standardized description of language ability. The levels describe all learners, from the breakthrough A1 stage to the advanced user at level C1.

Intensive ESL Course

EV’s Intensive English Programs (IEPs) allow students to engage in a rigorous, intentional, and often time duration term study of the English language. This ESL-IEP program focuses primarily on providing instruction in English vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and usage.

School classes cover the full spectrum of language skills (4 main competencies) along with classes focused on grammar and pronunciation. Curriculums vary from basic to advance and often times focus on a particular track such as travel, academic, social, technical, or otherwise specialized English. Tracks are customized within the MTM classes.

IELTS Guarantee Course

The EV Academy IELTS Guarantee Course offers a comprehensive introduction to the IELTS test, with an array of interactive practice materials. Like the test itself, the course content is organized into the four main skill areas: Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing.

Each section of this course includes engaging multimedia presentations reviewing key test-taking skills, strategies and techniques. It aims to equip the students with the skills and strategies needed to take the IELTS test with confidence to maximize the students’ score.

General IELTS Course

EV’s IELTS programs prepare students to both General and Academic IELTS. Students who are at a basic level will first enter the PRE-IELTS program. This program combines elements of the IELTS through MTM classes (IELTS vocabulary and strategy) while group classes focus on the IEP General ESL programs.

Students will need to obtain a band score of 4.0 to gain entrance into the General IELTS pathway. The coursework for the Academic pathway is challenging. The program covers all 4 competencies of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking with a focus on academic language.

Family & Kids Course

The EV Academy works with young learners from different nationalities, with different culture, objectives, learning styles and paces.

Throughout the years, EV ACADEMY has developed various study plans to match individual requests and needs.

TOEIC Course

EV’s unique TOEIC program offers teacher instruction, practice under test-like conditions, review books, and software. Students who are at a basic level will first enter the PRE-TOEIC program. This program combines elements of the TOEIC through MTM classes (TOEIC vocabulary and strategy) while group classes focus on the IEP General ESL programs.

All TOEIC classes use integrated grammar and vocabulary: this alignment allows for maximum learning success. In addition, we offer specialized Business English Communication classes where students get to practice their TOEIC skills in real and authentic situations and activate their language skills, specific to TOEIC competencies.
